Mark Coreth's lifesize bronze charging elephant sets off for Australia

The first cast of this fantastic sculpture was sold to a collector in Australia at Marks most recent show at Bruton Place. The journey to the docks at Southampton from the foundry in Essex created enormous interest, with press and television covering the whole route. The piece has now arrived safely at its destination.
The second cast will be ready next year when it will have an even more interesting journey over the Alps to its proposed site in Italy.

Sophie Dickens sculpture unveiled in Cambridge

Sophie Dickens' monumental "Madonna and Child" was unveiled recently in Trinity street Cambridge. Commissioned by John Lewis to fit the particular space.
The artist successfully rose to the challenge of creating a sculpture on this theme that could also fit into the unusual shape required. A maquette for the piece will be part of her next exhibition at Galerie La Cymaise in Paris in October 2009.
